The Hummingbird Bakery was founded by Tarek in 2004 and it continues to be a privately-held and family-oriented business. This year marks our sweet sixteen of baking in the capital and for that opportunity we are so grateful. Cakes hand-crafted by our talented bakers have been present at countless birthdays, baby showers, weddings, civil partnerships and more. From our hearts, thank you for making us a part of your family. As this global situation unfolds, we will do all we can to ensure the safety and security of our Hummingbird family and extended family – you, our valued customers – in our efforts to continue on our journey bringing fresh American baking to London.
The Hummingbird Bakery takes the health and wellbeing of our customers and staff very seriously and we want you to know what we are doing in response to Coronavirus at our London bakeries.
We’d like to reassure our customers that we are following the latest government advice in response to the Coronavirus outbreak. While health and hygiene are always critical to our business as bakers, we will continue to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and observe increased vigilance at this time. Further hygiene measures will continue to be taken to ensure our bakeries and products are safe and we will continue monitoring the situation in the meantime for any developments. Health, safety and hygiene remain our top priorities.
All our six London bakeries will remain open until further recommendation for take away only and the vast majority of our products can continue to be purchased as usual for next day home delivery at hummingbirdbakery.com (order before 4pm). We also have a selection of our bestselling cake slices, cupcakes, brownies, gift boxes and 8” whole cakes available for same day delivery on Deliveroo. We will continue to offer all unsold cupcakes for free for collection by charities at the end of each working day – collections can be arranged with our team at enquiries@hummingbirdbakery.com.
